Author ~*~ Raven:

Although I have had many other successful creative small business ventures, this is my first book, it’s filled with love and I think it will warm the hearts and make parents everywhere laugh out loud. Hopefully the little monkeys out there reading, or having the story read to them, will know they can be themselves and be accepted and loved for exactly who they are.

I have a background in psychology, and a passion for helping bring out the unique beauty of my clients, encouraging them to find their inner happiness. My favourite part of my business is seeing clients who hadn’t felt good about themselves in a long time, and in as little as an hour making them feel like superstars.

It’s so important for me to support local businesses and charities and so I was so thankful to have the opportunity to donate proceeds of this book to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) – one of the busiest children’s hospitals in Canada, that betters the lives of thousands of children every year.

Illustrator ~*~ Wei Lu:

I’ve travelled all the way from China to bring you this book! …Ok, maybe I came here for other things as well. I have been living in Canada for three and half years. I graduated from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in the incredibly beautiful Halifax. I moved to Toronto at this past summer after graduation for a change of pace, seeking out more challenges and opportunities. I’m loving the big city here as well, there always seems to be another area or community to discover.

I’m a freelance illustrator, which means I am lucky enough to work in the comfort of my own home. I could sit there with a cup of tea focusing on drawing anything for a whole afternoon. It’s so great to have the freedom and fun to create my own little crafts (paprecraft is one of my favorite) at my own pace- they help bring focus and inspiration for my artwork. I collect small adorable and funky figures and put them around my workspace. I’m lucky to be living my dream and my passion – and that I get paid to do so. My goal is to bring joy through my illustrations. I want to bring to life people’s stories, their happiness, their passions through my artwork.
